Damien: Hi, I’m Damien and you’re live with Affordable Staff. This is where we answer those questions we get asked each and every week, and this week, the question is: Gab, do Filipinos speak English? So, do you speak English?
Gab: Yeah, we definitely speak English. English is actually one of our official languages here in the Philippines, and as early as our primary years actually, we’re taught the English language. We use it on a daily basis. Sometimes we mix it up with our own words and we just call it TagLish. Our schools have this ‘English Only Please’ signs, while most of the companies here have the ‘English Only Policy’. So yeah, and I’m not sure if anyone knows this but we actually ranked number 2 in the English proficiency, in Asia, number 2. And I think we’re part of the Top 20 worldwide. So yeah, we definitely speak English.
