Faith Perez from Affordable Staff and welcome to our RAW Q&A session around outsourcing.

We’ve created these series of videos for businesses that have considered outsourcing and they have genuine questions or concerns that need answering.

The format? 3 questions and 3 answers based on over 275,000 hours of outsourcing experience.

Let’s get into it

Have you heard any stories of people being ripped off working with overseas clients?

Alna – Oh yes definitely. I’ve heard several stories. Particularly a friend of mine she worked for a client and after about three days when she is about to receive her pay, she hasn’t heard from her client. Eventually, it took her about three weeks to get her way. So it was delayed pay. I’ve also heard one that they’ve done certain projects but they haven’t heard from the client after.

Melanie – Yes, I’ve heard of people being ripped off from overseas clients. What I like about this company is the assurance and security that I will be paid on time.

Asher – Yes, I have this colleague years ago, he told me about this time when he was working for a client and he was asked to create a mock up of web pages for his websites. He was paid at first and he continues to send more of his works and the client was still reachable towards the end of the project but when it was time for him to pay up he could no longer be contacted.

Why do you like working for us?

Asher- I like working here because of the people, the management and my colleagues for treating me as part of the team. They also give me opportunity to maximise my skills. I also like that they want to improve me in my field of work.

Melanie  – I like working here because of my supportive team, we have a workplace and the pay is competitive. And that inspires me to do my work, focus on my tasks and responsibilities for my client.

Alna – I love working here primarily because of the easy vibe and the culture. There is a relaxed vibe so you’re friends with everybody and the management. But there is a pressure that you have to do your job but not to a point that you are stressed. Everybody is reachable when you need help.

What’s the difference between your current employment v’s contracting?

Alna – Of course the main difference is there is a physical office and log in time in our station, in our computer. Second is we have our benefits that are paid off by our company unlike contacting where you have to handle them yourself.

Melanie – The difference is with my current employment from contractual basis is that there is security and assurance that I get to keep the job and that there is fixed salary, allowance, leave credits, and enjoy the benefits that every employee should have where in with contractual basis, right after a specific task that is given to you in a pre-arranged time frame, the contract ends as well.

Asher – The difference, from my experience, is I think more on security on the work that I am currently in to and the field that I am chose. If you look at the office you feel like it’s a legit company so you would know that you won’t be ripped off. And in here, I can focus in my work. I can have the environment where I will be more productive. I will also have time and opportunity to know other people that I am working with unlike when I am working freelance where I am all alone in my own office.

Ok, that’s it
