Let’s get into it

Why do people in the Philippines seem to have a lot of short jobs?

In the Philippines it is common to keep an employee on a 6 month probation before they are ‘Normalised’, which means they get holiday pay, 13 month, etc.

Quite a few businesses will cease a person’s employment so they won’t have to pay for them to be normalised.

As an employer, we have a great reputation as we simply don’t do that. This means that we are classified as an employer of choice and as a result, we tend to attract quality applicants seeking long term employment.

Can I get my outsourced team member to remote into my local server to do their work?

Yes of course. This is the preferred method for a number of our clients especially those who have their team work on client sensitive data. For example, managing payment or accessing accounts information.

Secondly, some of our clients use specific software which their team members can only access via remote access. This again ensures that the information remains in-house and cuts down the costs of purchasing additional software licences.

Our clients use software like Team Viewer or Remote Desktop both of which allow access to the computer or server in your office. We work through the how to with clients as a part of our onboarding process.

In Australia we speak quite fast, will my team member be able to understand me?

As standard, our recruitment process includes a listening test which must be passed before a team member is even considered. Our recruitment team follow this up with an interview which is designed to not only test the applicant’s skills but also their listening and comprehension.

Additionally, most of the team employed within our office have extensive call centre experience and as such being able to understanding Aussies to date has not been an issue.

So it’s really more about the foundation of the recruitment process and the type of people you employ, which is the same as when you employ a person locally.

On a personal note, I have been told by many Aussies that I speak extremely fast even for our standards. At times when a new team member starts with us, they do ask me to slow down a little until they get used to me, but again that’s no different as I do get asked to slow down by our locals.

Ok, that’s it
