Faith Perez from Affordable Staff and welcome to our RAW Q&A session around outsourcing.

With our business operating from Australia and our managed office within the Philippines, we’ve created these series of videos for businesses that have considered outsourcing and would like to get hands on experience of our staff here in the Philippines.

Today’s format is going to be a little bit different as we get to know a few of our staff in the office and what drives them in their day to day lives.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Zhene – When I was younger, I actually wanted to be a medical doctor but I started to grow this fear of gruesome things but I was like ‘what did I wanna be if I did not want to be a doctor. What else is there?’ So I thought maybe a teacher would be nice because my mom was a teacher and my dad is also a teacher and I said ‘I don’t want to deal with kids.’ And I said ‘I could be a doctor but not in the medical field maybe in education’ so I was like I could be a doctor of education. I wanted to be a doctor in psychology

Rey – When I was young, when I was a kid, I wanted to be a scientist. So I made rockets out of cardboards, paper and I would paint them with colored pencils. And then I would scour my auntie’s kitchen cupboard and look for chemicals that I would make in to rocket propellers then I would put it in my paper rockets.

Elena – Growing up, I wanted to be a vet. A veterenarian because I love to take care of animals especially dogs. Actually I have three dogs and five cats at home. I also wanted to know how to cure them when they get sick or ill. I wanted to have a clinic and a shelter for those animals who have no home.

If you visited Australia, what would be one place you’d like to visit?

Elena – Australia is known for many things but the one place that I really would like to go would be the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast has many surf beaches and there is place called Surfer’s Paradise that I really want to go. I wanna see surfers and I also want to experience surfing in those beaches.

Rey – When I get the chance to go to Australia, I’d like to go to Sydney cause I want to see the Sydney Opera House. I think it’s one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. It’s an architectural marvel of our times. And It’s beacutiful in the sense that its…in term of function, aesthetics and design.

Zhene – I didn’t know a lot of places in Australia. I know that Sydney was very famous but eversince I found out about the Great Barrier Reef, I’ve always wanted to visit that place because it holds so many wonders in it. I’ve always been in to scuba diving as well but never tried it, what would be a great place to do your first time for scuba diving other than one of the greatest places on the earth.

What is your favourite hobby?

Rey – My hobbies right now, of course I love to read. Right now I read books on finance and stuff like that. I also like to surf around the internet look for information on different things and watch videos.

Elena – My favorite hobby would be baking. My sister was the one who influenced me to try it. At first it was hard because you have to be concise of every ingredient that you put in the mixture, the time, and the temperature should also be concise. But as you try and try and when you get the final product and you taste that it’s really good, it’s really satisfying.

Zhene – I have a lot of hobbies actually but if I were to pick a favorite one that would be video games. Video gaming. I spend basically hours every weekend just to play games but if there is no other ways for me to play games I would read. Read books, magazines and stuff like that.

Ok, that’s it
