Lisa recently caught up with Cailin from Abyss Demolition to chat about her experience with outsourcing through Affordable Staff. From streamlining admin work to freeing up local employees for more specialised tasks, Cailin shared how the partnership has made a difference to their business operations, and why she recommends it to others.
What made you consider outsourcing?
So we have a lot of admin work in our business, a lot of filing, a lot of the simple data entry, stuff like that. That was tying up a lot of the local employees times. And so we wanted to outsource that and we wanted to get somebody who could do that efficiently and accurately. So to free up the people’s time in Australia to do the more specialty work.
Why did you choose Affordable Staff?
Our owners did a lot of research into Affordable Staff and I know that they wanted somewhere that was ethical and secure. I know the security was a big part of the decision making process, so, they arrived at Affordable Staff.
What direct results have you found so far in implementing outsourcing and Affordable Staff?
It’s been great to have more time, to not have to do those time consuming tasks that are the day-to-day tasks, so that our local team can focus on the more specialty things to make sure that our safety, our equipment, everything else is up to scratch.
Visiting the Philippines Office: How have you found the in-person experience?
It’s been great. I‘ve been looked after very well and it’s been good to see how the staff themselves are looked after and all the facilities that they have and all the resources that they have. Even just down to, one of my team members was telling me last night the glasses program, she was able to get her glasses through Affordable Staff. So I feel like the culture around the business has been really great.
What advice would you give to anybody considering outsourcing through Affordable Staff?
It’s really been great. It’s been a great time saver. The people that we employ are fantastic. They have actually really improved our office dynamic as well. They’re just great. There’s been very little downsides at all and anything that has been has been easily corrected. They’re just like any other member of staff, it’s been great.
