Hi, David from Affordable Staff and on occasion we’re asked whether your offshore staff use their own dedicated PC or if they share their computer with anyone else?
This question is very relevant and happens if you are running multiple shifts each day and is really common in businesses that offer any type of call centre work where they would service other countries like the US.
An example of this would be if you were to run a morning shift from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, an afternoon shift from 3:30 pm – 10:30 pm and a night shift from 11:00 pm – 6:30 am.
For the record we operate from Monday to Friday and from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm and the computer and space a team member uses is their own space and the sole user of that computer.
Our staff actually operate out of their own dedicated pews which offer 3 walls around each team member where they have their own privacy. Overall this helps the staff to focus more on the tasks at hand. They are able to place their own family photos and other approved personal items that make it their space and helps them to have more ownership of their role.
So as I said, our offshore staff all have their own dedicated computer that they do not share with others.
